Meet your coach, Meg Mittelstedt

MJ (Masters of Journalism)

University of British Columbia, 2014

I have worked in media for nearly two decades, including roles in journalism, documentary film, senior editing and research. I’ve also been a small group coach in both writing and spirituality.

Because of this background—which, in addition to Media Law, Media Ethics and other professional journalism courses, includes courses in Narrative and Imagination, Creative Non-fiction, Creative Writing, Screenwriting and Filmmaking—I love to help writers working on both fiction projects (novels, short stories, screenplays etc.) and non-fiction projects.

It’s a real thrill to walk beside writers as they bring their inner ideas to life. I find this process so rewarding, and am beyond proud of each person’s completed work—whether they are writing for wider publication, or just for family and friends. There is gold in every piece of your story!
